1 – Using the Paradigmas website
Objectives/Services: The Paradigmas website has as its main objective to offer its users Paradigmas content – online content and content updating.
2 – Site Content / Intellectual Property
“Website content” means all information present on this portal, including text, images, illustrations, graphic design, webdesign and software. The intellectual property rights of all contents of Paradigmas that are not externally supplied and duly identified as such belong to Paradigmas, including the information, tools, graphic design of the Internet pages, with all its components, and all graphic figures or texts. The content on this website may not be copied, altered or distributed unless expressly authorized by Paradigmas. This site also contains texts, illustrations and photographs duly licensed by their authors and which cannot be copied, altered or distributed unless expressly authorized by them. Paradigmas rejects any responsibility for the usurpation and misuse of the aforementioned elements. The portal may also contain links to websites operated by companies other than Paradigmas. Paradigmas does not control these sites and is not responsible for them, including availability and content. The inclusion of these hyperlinks on the Paradigmas website does not imply acceptance of the content contained therein or an association with their owners.
3 – User Duties / Prohibited Uses
The user undertakes not to attack or unlawfully use the systems or the Paradigmas website, being held responsible and bearing all costs associated with illegal actions attributed to him. Among others, the following are considered unlawful actions:
a) Accessing an unauthorized area/account and respective information;
b) Test and assess system vulnerability and break installed security;
c) Install or attempt to install a virus on the portal;
d) Sending unsolicited emails that include promotions or advertising of products or services;
e) Trigger or attempt to trigger denial of service attacks.
4 – Suspension or Interruption of Access
Paradigmas reserves the right to interrupt or suspend access to the website, for the period it deems necessary, for any technical, administrative, force majeure or other reasons. Without prejudice to the provisions of the previous number, Paradigmas cannot be held responsible for any suspension or interruption of access that may occur for reasons that are not attributable to it or which are attributable to mere negligence.
5 – Security
Users of the Paradigmas website declare and guarantee that they are perfectly aware of the characteristics and constraints, limitations and defects of the Internet, and in particular that data and information transmissions via the Internet only benefit from relative technical reliability, circulating in heterogeneous networks of characteristics and capabilities different techniques, which disrupt access or make it impossible at certain times. Users acknowledge that any website/portal is subject to intrusions by unauthorized third parties and that it may consequently be interrupted, and that the information circulating on the Internet is not protected against possible diversions (free access), against any viruses, and that any person is likely to create a link with access to the website/portal and/or elements contained therein, accepting to run the inherent risks. Paradigmas cannot in any case be held responsible for accidental or voluntary damages suffered by users and caused or not by third parties within the scope of the use of the services provided on this portal or in other places on the Internet to which they have had access through it. Paradigmas is not responsible for any damages that may be caused by using the service, including virus contamination.
6 – Alert
Without prejudice to the confidentiality commitment (which must be taken as an obligation of means) regarding the use of personal data (to learn about our policy on the use of personal data, click here and here), Paradigmas warns that there are risks related to Internet and databases, and it is possible that the personal data contained in the portal may be captured and/or transferred by third parties, namely in countries where the protection systems for personal databases are still in underdeveloped stages and where protection it is scarce and ineffective. When accessing the Paradigmas website, users must accept the risks inherent in their activity as an Internet user, namely the risk of possible transfer of open data.
